Learn to Sail programs in 2008

Lane Cove will be offering "Learn to Sail" Programs in each week of the September/October school holidays. The programs are designed for children from age 8 to 12 (older children to 15 are also considered) who would like to learn the basic skills of sailing. Each program runs for a full week and covers both theory and practice.

Dates and Time
Week 1: Monday 29 September through to Friday 3 October, 10:00am to 4:00pm [Fully booked - waiting list only]
Week 2: Monday 6 October (Public Holiday) through to Friday 10 October, 10:00am to 4:00pm [Fully booked - waiting list only]

Place
At the clubhouse, Longueville Wharf, Stuart Street, Longueville

Lunch and Refreshments
Lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided as well as a family barbecue and presentation of certificates on the Friday evening from 5pm (we'll finish sailing a bit later) till 7pm

Cost
$250 includes Club Membership for the season. If you continue to sail at the club after the course there may be an additional Yachting Association Fee.

Pre-requisites
Age: 8 - 12
Swimming ability: Participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres unassisted.

Help
To ensure maximum benefit from the course and increased safety we ask that a parent of each participant spend minimum of one day or two part days with the group
