DOGS at the club (posted Feb 2007)
All members are reminded that it is a long standing club policy that no dogs (or other pets) are permitted on club premises - this includes inside the club, boat sheds and also at and near the front entrance to the club house. All members are requested to leave their pets at home and not to bring them to the club.

Power Boat Licences
Always been thinking about getting a power boat licence? Are you interested in learning the skills needed to operate the Club's safety boats? If the answer is "yes" to either of these questions then the Club can help by running training courses to help you acquire the skills and obtain your NSW Boat Licence and Yachting Australia Safety Boat Endorsement. The timing of courses will be dependent on the level of interest, fees will be based on cost recovery only. If interested please contact Rolf Lunsmann at Lunsmann@tpg.com.au or on 9418 6094.

Safety boats
Our On-Water Club Captain, Bob Paton is still looking for volunteers to crew the safety boats. You will need a NSW Maritime Power Boat Licence to skipper but not to be crew. If you can help, even if only a couple of times between now and the end of the season please call Bob on 0402 060 194.

Sailors who don’t rig at the club
If you don’t rig at the club and you withdraw from a race, can you please notify the club (if you haven’t already notified one of our safety boat crews who has confirmed they will notify the club).
Contact phone numbers:
Sue Cantor:  0414 956 857
Susan Shepherd:  0407 977 721
Clubhouse:  9428 2276

Motor Boat Licences
Safety is paramount in all the Club’s activities. When it comes to the use of any of our power boats it is important that we know that all members who use the boats have a current NSW Maritime Authority Motor Boat Licence. For this reason the Club’s Safety Subcommittee is compiling a list with the licence details.
If you hold a NSW Boat License would you please provide Rolf Lunsmann with your Licence number and its expiry date. Rolf can be contacted at Lunsmann@tpg.com.au or on 9418 6094.

Canteen...helpers always welcome
We will, of course, always need the help of anyone who can spare about three hours on a Saturday twice a season. It's easy, sociable work and will markedly increase your popularity at the sailing club! Just add your name to the list at the top of the stairs or ring Lyn Francis on 9428 3848.
The canteen is not only a much needed service to sailors but a necessary fundraiser for the club. Your help is much appreciated.

Officer of the Day Roster ... can you help?
This task is shared among the club committee, which means each member has to take on this role at least twice during the season. If you know what is involved or would like to know and can perhaps help out just once (or more) during the season then we’d be grateful for the assistance. Please contact Mark Barraclough secretary@lc12ftssc.org.au or see Mark, John Hayward or Jack Winning at the club.

First Aid Certified Persons ... can you help?
If you have an adult first aid certificate you would be making a great contribution to keeping the club functioning by allowing your name (and mobile number) to be placed on a list in the canteen. Please contact Cathy Lunsmann 9418 6094 or at treasurer@lc12ftssc.org.au.

Club History Project ... have you got a story?
Currently the Club is currently undertaking a project to research and document its rich history. Current and former Club members are invited to contribute facts, stories and anecdotes to help piece together the history.

If you have photographs, old programmes, press clippings, information from trophies or other materials these could all help the effort. Anyone who can assist should contact Carolyn Biggs on (02) 9428 3794 or Rolf Lunsmann on (02) 9418 6094, or send an e-mail to history@lc12ftssc.org.au.
