Replace the Clyde Project and your opportunity to help

The Project    Donation Form
For a number of years Lane Cove 12ftSSC has been planning a project to replace the Club's primary support launch the Clyde. The project will be one of the Club's largest capital commitments in recent years.

While the Clyde has served the Club well over many years it is long over due for replacement. The new vessel will be specifically designed and built for the Club. It will have significantly greater capability than the old Clyde being faster, more manoeuvrable and able to carry out all the Club's support needs for our sail training programs and our regular racing program. Importantly it will also be more reliable and will offer a greater degree of comfort for our hard working volunteers who provide our on water support.

In selecting a replacement vessel the Committee looked at many options and after detailed examination it has decided to commission the design and construction of a new vessel to be built to the Club's specific requirements. The new launch will be 20ft long with an inboard diesel motor. It will be capable of running at 20kts when responding to incidents.

How you can help The Clyde replacement project will require the Club to raise $80,000. While the Club has accumulated reserves built up over a number of years, specifically for this project, there is still an opportunity for you to assist by making a donation to the Australian Sports Foundation in support of the Club's Support Boats and Equipment for Sail Training Project which is currently focusing on replacing the Clyde. The Club has registered the project with the Australian Sports Foundation and therefore donations of over $2 will be tax deductible.
The Australian Sports Foundation The Australian Sports Foundation Ltd.
