First Aid Course – 31st August

The Club has arranged for ABC Lifesavers to run a First Aid Course at the Clubhouse.
· When: Sunday 31st August 8:30am to 2:30pm.
· Where: At the Club
· Cost: $100
· Course Details: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Apart from making your club a safer environment for everyone, why should you do the course?
· The course complies with most workplace requirements for first aid;
· If you wish to become an Australian Sailing Instructor you will need this or a similar course;
· It may one day save your life or the life of a loved one/mate.

Once you sign up, you will be sent a confirmation email. Within 24 hours you will be sent an email with a link to the training desk at ABC Lifesavers to register. You will need a USI (Unique Student Identifier), if you don't have one or have forgotten the number it will take you through the process.
You will be required to complete pre course online study and answer questions. Your work is saved as you go so you can do it in bite sized sessions with plenty of videos and help sections.

Lane Cove Public School Fun Run & Club Stall
The Club has been offered a stall at the upcoming Lane Cove Fun Run on Sunday 14th September. This is a great promotional opportunity for our junior fleet and upcoming Learn-to-Sail holiday programs.
It’s the morning after Opening Day, and we are proposing to have a rigged LTS Sabot on display with flyers, plus junior sailors & parents on hand to highlight what we offer at the Club and on the River. Lane Cove Public School organises the Fun Run, but is sadly under-represented amongst our LTS participants – so this is a chance to help them and grow our junior (& senior?) fleet. Register below for the Fun Run, and email sabots@ or commodore@ if you can assist on the day. Their will be local road closures so what better way to avoid them!
